Shining through III

Shining Through III

Mixed media on canvas · 80 × 60 cm · 2026

Shining Through III is an original abstract painting exploring resilience, transformation and the quiet persistence of light.

Layers of turquoise, aqua and soft mineral tones create an atmospheric surface reminiscent of water, weathered stone and traces shaped by time. Textile, raw textures and subtle golden accents emerge from the canvas, creating a tactile landscape that changes as the light moves across it.

From a distance, the painting feels expansive and serene. Up close, its irregular surfaces reveal an intricate world of marks, fibres and fragments — traces of what has been transformed rather than erased.

Part of my Shining Through series, this work is about the light that remains visible through our layers and imperfections. Not a dramatic breakthrough, but something quieter: the persistence of beauty, strength and light beneath the surface.

With its luminous turquoise palette and organic textures, Shining Through III brings depth, calm and a subtle sense of escape into a contemporary interior.
